1. Service Scope & Provisioning
The North Sites, provided by The North Developers Inc., delivers managed one-page business website design, hosting, security, and maintenance starting at $1 per week (billed annually at $52/year).
Our service includes custom responsive layout design, reliable and fast web hosting, automated SSL certificate management, and routine software maintenance.
2. Subdomain & Custom Domains
Every plan includes free deployment on a standard subdomain (e.g. yourbusiness.thenorthsites.com). Clients may also connect their own registered custom domain name. Domain registration fees with third-party registrars remain the responsibility of the client unless expressly included under an enhanced service package.
3. Billing & Cancellation
Services are billed on a flexible recurring cadence without lock-in commitments.
You can cancel your subscription at any time by notifying support prior to the upcoming renewal billing cycle.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Websites hosted on our infrastructure must comply with Canadian federal and provincial laws. We strictly prohibit hosting malicious content, phishing pages, deceptive schemes, unauthorized copyrighted materials, or hate speech. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
5. Intellectual Property & Service Model
Clients retain full ownership of all logos, text copy, images, and brand materials provided to us for display on the website.
The website structure, design code, and hosting environment are provided as an ongoing managed subscription service operated by The North Developers Inc. The North Developers Inc. retains all rights and ownership of the underlying software templates, architecture, code, deployment systems, and hosting infrastructure. Website files, templates, and hosting code are not sold, transferred, or self-hosted by the client upon cancellation.
6. Service Availability & Limitations
While we strive for high reliability and consistent uptime, services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, specific search engine ranking positions, or specific business revenue outcomes.
